Trust is lost. The board should get involved. This is not good leadership. D.C. artists deserve better. Thankfully there are other organizations here that are far better equipped to engage their artists in a positive and critical way. It confirms the feeling about the WPA I have developed over the last couple of years, that it sees itself as an exclusive rather than inclusive organization. I supported them by paying membership dues, and had hoped that I would be afforded the opportunity to donate my work for their auction or be considered by a jury for an exhibition. Neither thing happened, and it is a mystery to me how one goes about becoming a member of the 'in crowd'.

I know there are other ways I can support the arts in the DMV area, so it is no longer necessary for me to provide financial support to the WPA.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
