Artomatic Top 10
My AOM Top 10 and some other artists of note... coming later today.
While I love artomatic and hope to participate some time when I do not have another conflicting art commitment, this multiple "benefactor" thing is getting old. What was intriguing at first (and in prior artomatics) is becoming kind of junior high overkill with people comparing how many times a claimed "benefactor" sent them a private message or letter, etc.
It is starting to detract from the wonderful work at artomatic!
I understand the problem, but I can't stop people from joking around and imitating me. It also detracts from my goal of encouraging people to support artists.
Now back to the original topic. These are a few of the artists I liked: David Yano, Reid Rottach, Rania Hassan, Laura Peery, and J.T. Kirkland.
The prior "benfactors", "Collectors", etc. were not repetitive publicity hounds. They did their schtick, made their unique mark and disappeared. At least that left a lot to the imagination. The various benefactors this year are more interested in keeping their own personal "15 minutes" ongoing. I am not sure how any of these ongoing stunts really promoted the arts.
I'm eager to see your list - and curious if we have any favorites in common.
