Actually, journalists deserve low pay.
Wages are compensation for value creation. And journalists simply aren't creating much value these days.
Until they come to grips with that issue, no amount of blogging, twittering, or micropayments is going to solve their failing business models.

Less bucks?
get the managers off their backs and let them tell the truth about things and they'll become unpopular with the adveetisers.
ReplyDeleteInteresting thesis and proposals. I think many feature writers, and other non-investigative journos, are overpaid. Meaning less budget for wider coverage and most importantly, for investigative reports. The masses crave entertainment "news," but having fewer watchdogs has and will continue to hurt our society and world.
