Ariel Sigler
The criminal Castro dictatorship in Cuba has released Cuban political prisoner Ariel Sigler after seven years in jail for the high crime of demanding that human rights be respected in Cuba.
Sigler lost half his body weight in jail and was turned by Castro's jailers' beatings into a paraplegic, paralized from his waist down.
His body was broken and yet, his soul was never broken down.
The photo below, courtesy of Penultimos Dias, shows the brutal transformation Sigler went through in Castro's workers' paradise in 7 years in jails that haven't allowed Amnesty International to visit them in 30 years.
Puts a new face on the word "torture" and a new face on the word "hero."

Hero? I prefer victim. And it looks like he's sucking his gut in on the top left. Just sayin'.
Yeah... so you think he's faking this uh? What trying to make himself look skinnier...
How sad...
I agree with anonymous. And something *does* smell fake here.
Really? Which part smells fake? The fact that he is paralized now, or the fact that he lost half his body weight, or the fact that he was on Amnesty International's list for years?
I'm slightly ill at these comments from both of you.
Lenny,
You've received some absolutely pathetic comments on these photographs, but comments that are not at all suprising. Castro and his thug brother are monsters adored by many who have not one negative word to say against the well-documented legacy of inhuman crimes committed by his thug regime against his own people.
I suppose some think he's sucking in the skin covering his cheek bones in the bottom right photo.
These are the same people that think the photographs of emaciated Jews liberated from Holocaust camps show them faking attempted genocide by sucking in their stomachs.
