Wind Wasp-aided

Just back from an encounter with an underground nest of wasps or hornets while out in the woods.

Bad news: three very painful stings.

Good news: new world record set in the 200 meter dash uphill.

Bad news: the International Association of Athletics Federation does not recognize world record times set when the runner is being chased by a cloud of angry insects.

Hope you are okay! My husband was stung by a yellow jacket a few years ago; had never had a problem with a sting before but when his tongue started to itch and go numb we rushed to the emergency room and got there just as he started to pass out. His blood pressure was something bizarre like 40 over 60 and the medics started shouting, "This is the real thing!" They pumped epinephrine into his system. He's fine now but it was scary, and he carries an Epipen with him now when he goes into the woods.

Take care,

Susan

This has worked: Remove stingers and dab with vinrgar (better yet, apple cider vinegar), baking soda, and/or chopped onion.

ah...then perhaps you'd understand the artistic inspiration behind my Artomatic piece in the "Action Figures" exhibit...it included a dozen or so wasps (yellowjackets) in a bottle of alcohol labelled "pure evil"

I hate those little F-ers. Been battling them in my front yard.
