Opportunity for Artists

Jurying on April 26

The jury for this show is comprised only of the submitting artists.

Each artist will be submitting one piece of work live, in front of a jury of their peers.

After each artist presents their work, the jury will be encouraged to discuss and debate before voting.

The whole process will be videotaped and hopefully even streamed live.

Artists must be available on Saturday April 24th from 6pm-whenever to both present their work and participate on the jury.

All the details are here.

Interesting concept.

If only the Healthcare debate had been handled this way: Every person who has an idea for how to improve healthcare in America gets to submit that idea that's voted on by every other person that has submitted an idea.

A truly great idea for an art show. But an idea that can never compete with William F. Buckley's greatest idea:

"I'd rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University."

I'd like to see an art show comprised of the first 400 people listed on Sarah Palin's political action committee mailing list. It might be more interesting than an art show featuring the first 400 people recorded in Jeff Koon's Rolodex.
