I've just been contacted by them as well, and while we want the sales revenue, there's something a bit off about it. Can you describe what made you believe they are scammers?
Can you explain what signaled to you that this is a scam? My company has been contacted by them as well, and as much as we would love the sales revenue, we also don't want to be scam victims!
So what happened?
I just got the same email from Carlos. Didnt address it to me, even though my name is on my website. Didnt say what he wanted to purchase, just that he wanted “to make some Purchase”. To me the give away that it’s a scam is, besides these things, he wants to hurriedly make the purchase on a credit card AND arrange for his shipper to take possession. His guy would get the art right after his CC was charged, then he would cancel the sale or otherwise get his money back from the card company. Used to be Singapore quite often, along with Nigerian.
Hi, “Carlos” sent the same email to me. Apparently he wants skateboards too (that’s my shop) I recognized the scam right away! Thank you for posting your experience. It confirms suspicions and helps others!! Be Safe everyone!!
We were just contacted by the same person, only to purchase store fixtures. He asked to pay with a card but was unable to use PayPal for whatever reason, so he sent a check and continued to try to pressure us to wire money for the freight in a total of $4900. I told him we weren't wiring money until the check cleared. The check was flagged for fraud, and I told him so and he disappeared. Thankfully we were diligent about not being rushed, I feel for anyone that falls prey to these creeps. He emailed me from cr936609@gmail.com
Lots of experience with this type of scam, though never hooked. We had people wanting to send stuff to the Bahamas, New Zealand, and even a prince in Nigeria. Carlos has been on a couple of them (not sure if it is the same guy). Be careful.
Just got the same email 03/03/2026 from Carlos Ramirez cr936609@gmail.com, "I'm Carlos Ramirez .I would love to let you know my interest towards some of your products. Before we proceed, I want you to know that the order is going to Bahamas and I will have my Freight Forwarder pick up the order and deliver it to Bahamas" and then when i replied his follow up was "Hello, thanks for your prompt response, but i would like to know if you could work with my Freight Forwarder so the Freight Forwarder could come pick up my Order at your Warehouse or Store so as to ship directly to Bahamas ?Thanks

Just got an email from him 05/04/26 - googled his name and info and this came up. Def a scam!
